Please bear in mind that some major canons require trial periods (test RP) before being accepted and some will naturally have a smaller part to play than others. All canons have to be played as canon, but you will have more artistic licence with a minor canon that we don't know much about from JKR - ie you can make it your own character.

All canon characters need to be kept active otherwise they go back on the list. Your character will be considered inactive if you have not made an in-character post in 3 weeks, you may get 1 week's grace on top of that if no one else wants your character or we don't urgently need your character for something. If you would like to give up one of your non-canons to play a canon, please let us know.
