The following Muggle Decrees are split into 2 catergories; The Golden Decrees and the Muggle Decrees, for members who do not want to roleplay.
If you are wishing to roleplay in the future at MM, you must go to the Magical Me section.

The Golden Decrees

Terms of Service
The Admin of any forum is responsible for making sure their board and its members are abiding by their hosts' Terms of Service (ToS). If the board breaks the ToS, it will get deleted by Proboards staff. So please read it. Thank you.

Posts about Deathly Hallows that have spoilers are to be kept to the 'Deathly Discussions' subboard only, along with the word 'Spoiler' in the thread title. There is a general spoiler warning in the side table but please still observe this request anyway. If the thread isn't best suited to the'Deathly Discussions' please put a spoiler warning in thread titles to post somewhere else.

There is no place here on the board for you to advertise for joins for your own forum, roleplay or non-roleplay, at the moment. This includes in signature links and PMs. It is forbidden to PM members on Malfoy Mansion to ask them to join another forum. Also - please do not contact MM members on Instant Messenging programmes or email with the aim of 'hard-sell' to your own forum.
However you MAY do the following:
a) Put a link in your profile in the 'website' field and leave it at that. If someone is curious and wants to look at your member profile, they will see the link. There is no need to point it out in anyway.
b) Submit an affiliation form via PM or email to Draco. Please see the Affiliating thread.
NB. IF the site is not a forum and you think it may be of interest to the others, please post it in the Fountain of Knowledge or the most appropriate section of 'Foolish Wand Waving' and do not use persuasive advertising language.

Respect copyright laws and do not copy any content, graphics, source code or members' posts directly to another site without prior permission of the original writer/creator. Please read MM's Full Copyright Statement for more information about this. Ignorance is not an excuse! If you are found to have copied anything without permission, you are very likely to be banned from Malfoy Mansion.

Abusive behaviour and language and disrepect for staff and other members is not tolerated, even just a teensy bit. We do not 'do' flaming here, neither is abusing another member acceptable. You can have a lively debate and have a friendly banter, but if things get serious you will be told to take it to PMs and admin/nominated Moderator will act as peacemaker. Any abusive behaviour will result in suspension and/or banning depending on the severity of the offence. You are not allowed to deliberately 'ignore' staff requests. If you repeatedly ignore staff requests, you will be suspended. Admin's decision is always final.

If you have a broken link in your avatar and/or signature, you may find it deleted or replaced. A broken link can delay page loading since the browser takes more time searching for the missing image. This slows the board down for everyone. Please report any broken links to a Moderator if you see one, or fix them immediately if they are ones from your account. Thank you.

Avoid typing anywhere in 'text talk'. Also abbreviations such as 'lol', 'wtf' and 'omg' should be used in Non-RP sections only. Please use the spell checker and write clearly, with correct punctuation and coherently as best as you can. Your posts need to be easily understood and need some thought put into them.

If it becomes apparent through your posts and behaviour that you are not old enough or mature enough to be here, and we suspect you are not the age you put down when you registered an account here, we reserve the right to cease your access to the forum. We will always try to notify you in this case. Under 18s should get parental permission to be here and under 13yrs old shouldn't even bother signing up.

Muggle Decrees

You must agree not to post in any of the roleplay sections if you have chosen not to RP, as this is classed as spamming and your posts will be deleted. You can post anywhere in the Non-RP catergory.

However are exceptions to where you can post within the RP categories:
a) You MAY submit a fanfiction to 'Narcissa's Reading Room'. If you didn't write it yourself, you MUST provide the name of author and the link to where you found it. Please try and get permission first if it's possible, just to be extra safe. You may also rate/review other fanfics.
The fanfics submitted must be pg13 rated.
If you wrote it yourself and want to copyright the post (stops it's being c&p'd) -please place the © logo anywhere in the post.

b) You MAY post in the Secret Chamber (in the Manor) if you have decided to collect Dark Favour points OR the Weasleys Game Room (in the Burrow) if you have decided to collect Bravery Bonus points. This is a good way to join in with the games and comps and boost your point scores.

c) You MAY add to the Portrait Gallery but please avoid 'chatty' posts and comments. Please read the Request Regarding the Galleries first.

Please let Draco know via PM if you are not here to roleplay, since he sorts everyone in groups and waits for a profile to appear before putting you into a group. If you choose to be a non-rper, you will be placed in the 'Muggle' group.

There are some roles at Malfoy Mansion you can apply for - writing, for example. If there are no details in the Muggle Me section about available non-rp roles, please drop Draco (admin) a PM and ask if there is any available position for you.

If you are not here to RP, your display name must not be the name of a Harry Potter (canon) character for obvious reasons. You cannot have a main canon surname to your display name either. You may have an Avatar of any Harry Potter character or anything Harry Potter related, or anything personal to you. Your signature and avatar must NOT promote anything that is against the Proboards Terms of Service and we do not allow you to have any links in your signatures, unless it is a link to one of your threads on this forum.

-Max Avatar size is 4.8cm width by 7cm height at 72dpi. (136 x 198 pixels)
You can use this as a template:

You can use an Avatar from the drop down menu in 'Modify Profile'

The auto-resize is turned off, so your AV picture must be resized before you upload it, if you are using your own.

-Your signature must be a horizontal banner or small icons. If you make it too big, we will resize it or request you to do it. If you are making one yourself, please use the staff's sig sizes for examples.

The absolute maximum size for a sig banner is 6cm height x 20 cm width.

We prefer you use a 5cm x 18cm size.

-You can use any graphics in the graphics Library for your sigs/miniprofile backgrounds.

-If you want to request an AV/Sig, please visit the Graphics Request area.

-Please do not have overly flashing sigs or AVs as it can trigger epileptic fits in some people. Animated is fine as long as it is slow and not overdone.

-If you are using your own Miniprofile background, it needs to be dark and knocked back in contrast so that it blends in with the skin and you can read text over the top. There is a MP BG library in the Graphics Library section.

Passwords to any sections you'd like to read can be obtained from Draco, Silvery or Miss Serpente and you are not allowed to give them to a third party.

Important - If you have read both sets of Muggle Decrees and do not need to read the Magical Decrees, you must sign them by replying to this thread with:

- so that staff know you have read them. If we don't see a reply from you after signing up and posting, a member of staff will keep asking you to read the Decrees until your post in this thread has been made.
