Hogwart's grounds All around Hogwarts there are acres of beautiful landscape. The grounds include the Lake, the Quidditch pitch, Hagrid's hut, the courtyard, and the Forbidden Forest.
The Great Hall Vast chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. Closest to the doors from the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor (this order may possibly be reversed, depending on how you orient the room to the entrance hall). The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room.
Headmaster's Office The head's office is located on the 7th floor of Hogwarts behind a Gargolye that reveals a moving spiral staircase once you give it the correct password. {see HPL here for more info}
No one had been able to get into the office since Dumbledore died - because the password had changed and appeared in Dumbledore's Will....to be released only to a certain somebody - Severus Snape, who now occupies it.

The Owlery Located in the West Tower, Hogwarts Owlery is a huge circular drafty room where all the owls belonging to students and professors come and go. Send all your letters to Hogwarts here and may the owl find the right person...
The Library The Hogwarts library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons, and a Restricted Section at the back, set off with a rope. A signed note from a teacher is required to peruse that section of the library; it contains books of Dark Magic only used by older students studying advanced Defence Against the Dark Arts. One of the books in this section screams when opened.
The library closes at 8 pm.
The books have various spells on them to prevent students from defacing or stealing them. Chocolate (and presumably other food) is forbidden in the library. Madam Pince is the kind of librarian who sees herself as the guardian and protector of the books, at odds with the students who try to use them. [taken from the HPL]
Gryffindor Common Room Brave Gryffindors - A place for gathering with friends and doing your schoolwork.
The entrance is behind a large painting of a Fat Lady in a pink silk dress in a corridor on the seventh floor. If you know the right password to tell her, she opens to reveal a round opening in the wall leading into the Gryffindor common room, which is the lowest floor of the tower.
Includes the dormitories - one boys' and one girls' per year for a total of fourteen - with four-poster beds - round rooms with windows (although these dormitories are not really on the seventh floor but in the tower which rises above the common room.)

Ravenclaw Common Room The entrance is a door at the top of a tightly winding spiral staircase. The door has a talking bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. Rather than asking for a conventional password, the knocker will ask a question; if answered correctly, the knocker will compliment the person on the answer and the door will swing open
The common room is decorated in House colours (blue and bronze silk wall hangings, in this case, and a midnight-blue carpet decorated with stars). The room is wide, circular, and very airy, with a domed ceiling painted with stars, and walls with graceful arched windows that provide a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. There are bookcases, tables, and chairs, and opposite the entrance is another door leading to the dormitories. Beside this door is a plinth on which stands a life-size statue in white marble of Rowena Ravenclaw wearing her diadem.

Hufflepuff Common Room Accessed through a still life painting found near the kitchens; to reach it, you enter a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there. Although it is therefore at dungeon level, it is "as dissimilar as possible" from the Potions classroom. As we have seen in the other common rooms, it is decorated in House colours, which in this case means that there are lots of yellow hangings; like Gryffindor Tower, it has a lot of comfortable armchairs. There are "little underground tunnels leading to the dormitories, all of which have perfectly round doors, like barrel tops"

Slytherin Common Room Down in the dungeons - the perfect place for Slytherin-like hijinks and not doing much work.
The Slytherin common room is a low-ceilinged, dungeon-like room with greenish lamps and chairs. The doors are heavy, with wrought iron bolts. It includes plush leather couches and a huge stone fireplace. It is located under the lake and you need a password to get in.
